I think there are a lot of things that separate a friendship from a relationship that don't involve physical contact! There's intimacy, and an emotional connection that's more intense than with a friendship. There's a sense that you have a partner with whom you can share everything, and a comfortable familiarity. There can also be a physical closeness that doesn't lead to anything sexual.

Additionally I didn't say I didn't want that entirely... eventually, simply not solely.
